A private airstrip offers easy access or a lazy one hour drive takes you to Butterworth if driving north or head to Kei Mouth where you will be carried over the Kei River by ferry, where you can visit Morgan’s Bay, Hagga Hagga and Cintsa on your way south to East London and the Garden Route.
Fishing is excellent. Blacktail, galjoen, kob, shad and yellowtail are all there for the taking in these seas alive with fish. There are many guided walking trails to be followed, try ‘the wreck walk’ to the rusty remains of the coaster Jacaranda, high and dry in a small cove or a leisurely river cruise through the ‘Gates’ and ‘Gorge’ trails to admire the rock formations, waterfalls and amazing bird life. |
