KARTSOur karts are imported from the United Kingdom and have the latest technology chassis, which is used extensively at karting circuits throughout the world. The karts use slick racing tyres, which are specially designed for cement surfaces and are powered by a Honda 160 cc four-stroke engine. An exciting new feature is the adjustable accelerator and brake pedals, which allows even the shortest person to reach the pedals. They are fitted with protective side pods and front & rear impact protection. Karts are simple to control with brake and accelerator pedals, and use an automatic clutch. Race and lap timing utilises modern electronic systems, each kart is fitted with an AMB transponder which records race results and best lap times.
TRACK The generous width of the track facilitates competitive racing with easy overtaking. Brightly painted tyres are used as safety barriers around the track. Huge windows and doors ensure plenty of light and ventilation throughout the premises. Excellent facilities to ensure that all our clients return again and again.
RACE FORMATSOur standard race formats are adaptable to suit your individual needs and budget.
EXCLUSIVE USEExclusive Use is a cost-effective way of successfully entertaining staff and clients. We recommend between 40 & 60 people but we can accommodate larger or smaller groups. The discounted rate remains the same irrespective of the number of people arriving On arrival drivers start with warm up laps which is followed by a Drivers/Safety briefing. Drivers are then divided up into teams for the start of a 2-hour endurance race. After the race each driver from the top three teams is presented with a certificate on the podium. A Grand Prix (Individual Event) or a series of 20 lap heats then follows for anyone wishing to challenge other drivers. We run various races depending on your requirements – requested races have been : - fastest drivers, slowest drivers, ladies races, management races, over 50’s race, best looking guys, or we race the circuit in the opposite direction for the more experienced drivers. A variety of trophies and prizes are for sale at Race Control (subject to availability).
ENDURANCE RACEThe endurance race is one of the most successful race formats. Drivers are randomly divided into teams and the challenge is to be the team that completes the most number of laps in the allocated racing time. The endurance format is ideal as a team builder with tremendous input from the crowd, each shouting for their favorite teams and drivers. After warm up laps the first drivers from each team start the race and driver changes occur every 6 – 10 minutes. Team strategies would be to do a quick driver change and get the next drivers out onto the track again. One kart is allocated per team and each team allocated different colour racing bibs. The number of drivers in each team is entirely up to you. We run a minimum of 5 teams and a maximum of 6 teams. Certificates are presented to each driver in the top three teams on the Podium.
GRAND PRIX6 or more drivers compete over a series of 3 x 20 lap heats. According to their positions in each race they are allocated points. These points are accumulated to make a final heat for the top drivers. Each time drivers are allocated different karts and different grid positions. This competition determines an individual winner. Certificates are presented to the top three drivers on the Podium. |
