Directions:

La Bohème Guesthouse is located at the entrance of Upington (Groenpuntrd. 172, Keidebees area, behind Naba lodge) when driving on the N14 from Johannesburg, Olifantshoek, Kuruman, Vrybug OR at the end of Upington when driving on Schröderstreet/N14 from Upington town centre, Capetown, Augrabies, Kimberley, Prieska, Groblershoop.

A tall Vodacom  tower (= giant palm tree visible from far) is situated at the end of Groenpuntroad (which is a cul-de-sac road), at a few meters' distance from the Guesthouse.

La Bohème Guesthouse offers luxury B&B and Self catering accommodation in Upington - Kalahari (10 min. drive from town-center).

 

Elevated on top of a hill and superbly nestled in a vast lush tropical garden, La Bohème offers breathtaking views of the Orange River Valley melting itself into the endless Kalahari semi-desert.

 

The eclectic style of La Bohème is interpreted with a harmonious combination of European, African and Oriental influences.

The essence of the décor, inspired by the natural surroundings and indigenous elements, reflects a subtle fusion of refined classic finishes and creative artistic expressions.

Color touches as vibrant as the African sunsets add spice to the soft creamy and earthy tones echoed throughout the property. Soothing water features, relaxing music and delicate lighting emphasise the blissful and cosy atmosphere of this inviting home.

ACCOMMODATION:

La Bohème has two double rooms in the residence (one en-suite, the other with sep. private bathroom) and one spacious unit in the cottage (with two bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms and self-catering facilities).

 

Decorated and furnished with flair, meticulous attention to detail and a personal signature, the three stylish rooms/units of the Guesthouse feature a wide range of amenities and modern facilities.

 

Each room/unit offers Orange River Valley and/or garden views and is directly accessible from the garden via its own private terrace or verandah.

The hearty breakfast (buffet) is usually served on the verandah overlooking the garden and the Valley or in the dining room nearby the cosy fire place in winter. Various additional breakfast options available (Champagne brunch, breakfast served in room, etc.).

 

Daytime snacks, afternoon tea with cake, sundowners.

Self-catering option. Braaï/barbecue areas at disposal.

For other meals: restaurants, bistros, pubs, etc. within 3 to 10 minutes drive.

Set on the banks of the Orange River, Upington is the principle center of the Green Kalahari - malaria-free area - in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.

 

La Bohème Guesthouse is an ideal stop-over to unwind on the way to/from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (Kalahari Gemsbok Park, 245km), the Augrabies Falls National Park (120km), Springbok & Namaqualand (400km) or Namibia (closest border post 120km)… and a dreamy place to stay for an indulgent breakaway in the heart of the Green Kalahari !
