Only 30 minutes drive North East from Pretoria you will find Bushbaby Place, a peaceful camping retreat for relaxing and getting away from it all.

On your way there, you will drive through a 250ha game conservancy which has Zebra, Kudu, Blue wildebeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Blesbuck, etc  welcoming you to our area. 

This 21ha venue is nestled between hills where you can explore the area on foot, enjoy the lovely view & fresh air, while watching game and a surprising diversity of bird species.

To give you the true bush-experience and to adhere to the rustic theme, the entire site is specifically designed without electricity or other modern luxuries. Limited lighting is provided with solar lights for the ablution block & warm water is obtained from gas geysers. There is a boma & braai area where a cozy bonfire can be made .

For special occasions, the boma can be rented out .

Directions

One hour from JHB. 20 mins from Pretoria. 

• From JHB & Pretoria: take the N1 north to the Zambezi offramp (toll), at the traffic light turn right, 

• pass over one traffic light and at next traffic light turn left (R573 KwaMahlanga road). 

• Travel 31km. Look out for a black & white sign on your left showing “Leeukloof Valley”, 

• Turn left onto the gravel road for 200m and stop at the security gate. 

• Tell security you are going to Bushbaby Place and turn right after the boom. 

• You are now entering a game reserve, so please drive slowly as you might spot game. 

• Travel about 2km, over a cattle grid, and find BUSHBABY PLACE on your right. You have arrived.
