This is undoubtedly one of the best areas for Whale Watching from our stunning De Kelder's cliffs - or a boat cruise around Dyer Island (marine bird sanctuary) and geyser Rock (Cape fur seal colony), when you can have a really "up close and personal" encounter with these magnificent creatures in their own environment.

High whale season for Southern Right Whales is August to the end of December when there are many "mother and child" encounters - awesome!!!

Gansbaai is the International Mecca for Cage Diving with Great White Sharks and we specialise in arranging shark diving experience for individuals and groups.
Saxon Lodge has been host to many dive groups and TV crews from around the world who come to experience and film this "ultimate adrenaline rush
 
Coastal and mountain Hiking, Horse Riding; shore and boat based Fishing; a 9 hole Golf course and a Bowling club, Scuba diving and Surfing give the visitor a variety of outdoor activities.
